That's Me: @danacoppafeel Drops A New Banger Of A Single - Prod. By @MikeRegalSound

Dana Coppafeel drops a new Single "That's Me", and   it Bangs! -
prod. by Mike Regal

Dana Coppafeel and company star in the “That’s Me” single.  The track is about young kings grinding, dream chasing, and living up the day to day.  This type of song is outside the box for Dana’s style, but he slayed, laying a canvas of lyrics over a base heavy banger produced by Mike Regal who also features on the track.  Coppa pays homage to the grind “When people think about overnight success stories they don’t consider the years of dedication to get to that success” said Dana in an interview about the song.  Just peep the accolades; well “That’s Me”.  Enjoy the song and turn that shit to 11, available on all streaming platforms.

While Dana is no rookie to the Hip-Hop Scene, the visuals for 1Time are a fresh take from the overplayed norm.  With roots in Illinois and Wisconsin, Dana is used to playing both sides of the border and his style and versatility in his repertoire shows it. Portable boom boxes and rap tapes shaped Dana’s love for hip-hop, stemming from the local the community center in Rockford, IL, as a child, trying to memorize lyrics from Boogie Boys, UTFO, Sugar Hill Gang, and Roxanne Shante.  The movie Beat Street took over his life. But the thing that drove Dana the most was his love of freestyling. From middle school till now, Dana rocks a freestyle with ease. He will stop a set, pick someone out in the crowd, and start freestyling about them. Coppa quotes, “My mom would sign me up for guitar lessons but nothing stuck with me. I just wasn’t coordinated enough to play instruments, so that hurt a lot, but once I heard somebody rapping I knew that was the path for me.” When he discovered the early elements of rap and hip-hop, it was a cadence that came natural to Dana’s speaking styles and unique voice. He elevated his craft by touring with Pharcyde and also during the Van’s Warp Tour.  As well as creating music, Dana has a degree in Digital Arts, shelling out his skills in graphic design, photography, film, and graffiti. Dana’s rap style is like a mix of Action Bronson meets Beastie Boys with some Pharcyde sprinkled on top.
