This Friday, March 30th the roots and blues original music artist known as Tracer Heights from Kansas City, Missouri will be releasing their self-titled debut CD at Mike Kelly's Westsider. The show goes from 8:00 pm to midnight. The band will perform two sets of their signature roots and blues, while also including some experimental jams from outer space. The day before their release show on Thursday, March 29th from 8:00pm to 9:00 pm on KKFI 90.1 FM's Local Show Tracer Heights will be doing an in-studio interview talking about their self-titled debut and CD release show. Their is also a Facebook event page for that HERE.
Their debut CD was recorded live on-stage using direct to multi-track in Kansas City and then mixed and mastered. The disk features 55 minutes of rock, blues, bluegrass with a bit of improvisation. They also partnered with local artist Ruthie Becker who painted their album cover direct onto canvas paper. They printed a short run of 60 limited edition compact disks. This event may be your only chance to pick up this one of a kind piece showcasing music and art. Tracer Heights is Ben Hoppes on electric banjo and vocals, Joshua Pohl on drums, percussion and vocals, plus Jeremy Clark on bass guitar and vocals.
