#AmenLucyAmen CD Release @TheGramophone on 1/17.

A few years ago we were introduced to Zachary Schwartz here on this blog. Then he was promoting his folk rock album "Fibs and Philosophies." Now he's in the folk band Amen Lucy, Amen, and is excited to be releasing their album "Ashore for the End" January 17 on Brave New Records.net. They have a punk inspired folk rock sound and are a five piece. See HERE for a full bio on the group.

The physical release also happens January 17, and they're having a CD release party at The Gramophone. HERE is the event page on Facebook. Also, this Friday 1/10 they are going to let people stream the whole record for a day to preview it. So, stay tuned to their Facebook page for that.

The recording was created alongside his friend and roommate, Steve Lightle, in the basement of their house in St. Louis. This fast paced effort also has some more softer/vocally based tunes. She was born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska and moved to St. Louis a few years ago. Her next appearance is at The Wine Press in St. Louis on Friday, Oct. 28th.
