About Look Vibrant:

Using unconventional arrangements and thoughtfully fashioned sonic maximalism to contrast their vulnerable lyrics and playful melodic sensibility, Look Vibrant create a cathartic listening experience reminiscent of youthful incertitude and boiling ambition. After performing together in a number of different outfits over the years, founding members Matt Murphy and Justin Lazarus, created Look Vibrant during their journey across Western Europe where they played tunes to make ends meet. Recently Look Vibrant has performed alongside notable acts, including Anderson Paak, Wild Nothing, Micachu and In Shapes. Alvvays and Will Butler (Arcade Fire). They have also performed at acclaimed festivals, such as SXSW, NXNE, Pop Montreal, M For Montreal and Halifax Pop Explosion.

Today Winnepeg band Living Hour releases a new covers EP, Lovely, Lonely: A Collection Of Covers For Hollow Hearts. The EP includes covers of Nico, Avi Buffalo, The Ink Spots and Françoise Hardy (you can watch the video for this song now via YouTube). The band will also be touring to SXSW and playing an official showcase, co-presented by Danger Village on March 13 at Javelina Bar on Rainey St.

Bio:
Sink into the drowsy guitars and blissful, washed-out textures of Winnipeg’s Living Hour. The band made up of dream-pop revivalists’ atmospheric and pillowy melodies are coloured by psychedelic accents and the enthralling coos of vocalist Sam Sarty. Brushed-Snare Beats, droning reverberations, and wobbly romanticism conjure up a tranquil and exploratory state of mind.

Grab a thirty rack of Pabst, a liter of cheap whisky, and call up the boys because “New York City's favorite hard-workin' rock n' roll band” Dirty Fences is back on the road in the USA and ready to party down in town!

The band is doing a thirty-two city long haul tour in support of "Goodbye Love" via NYC’s own Greenway Records, the band’s third studio album and comes as a follow-up to 2013's Too High To Kross (Volcom) and 2015's  epic Full Tramp (Slovenly). The album is available on limited-edition splatter vinyl, cassette, CD and digitally.

Dirty Fences is a quintessential New York band: the kind the city is known for producing; the band you’d want to hear blasting out the PA at some dive bar that is beyond capacity before they even take stage. They often refer to themselves as a gang, and that mentality is evident in every meaty riff and perfectly-executed harmony on Goodbye Love. It’s a perfect slice of wax that evokes early American rock and punk acts such as Redd Kross, The MC5, and Johnny Thunders — whilst showing an obsession with early KISS and Motley Crüe through the lens of The Dictators and Ramones —yet the band still manages to maintain an identity all its own this new record.

You can still order Dirty Fences first EP from Dirty Water Records here

The Dirty Water Club started in October 1996 in the Tufnell Park neighbourhood of north London, at a venue called The Boston. The club's name is derived from The Standells' 1966 hit 'Dirty Water' which glorifies the US city of Boston, Massachusetts.

Past performers have included The White Stripes (voted by Q Magazine as one of the top 10 gigs of all time, Mojo one of the top 30 and Kerrang one of the top 100!), The Gories, Country Teasers, Black Lips, NOBUNNY, Kid Congo Powers, The Fleshtones, Billy Childish, Radio Birdman, The Dirtbombs, Thee Michelle Gun Elephant, The 5.6.7.8's, The Horrors and The Brian Jonestown Massacre to name just a few. The club has also seen some original '60s performers, such as The Monks, ? and the Mysterians, Kim Fowley, Sky Saxon, GONN, Michael Davis of the MC5 and more grace its stage.

Their in-house record label, Dirty Water Records, is one of the leading garage/beat/(real) R&B labels in the world.

Order 'Goodbye Love'   Dirty Fences  Greenway Records

Dirty Fences' third studio album, Goodbye Love, came out October 27th via Greenway Records. Like their past releases, it's full of meaty riffs, sing-along choruses, and perfectly-executed harmonies and finds the band's high-energy, tongue-in-cheek vibe fully intact.

NYC's Dirty Fences are true road warriors, having covered every hectare of fruited plain in the USA and practically every kilometer on the European continent.

About Dirty Water Records

Dirty Water Records is a London-based record label (and club, the Dirty Water Club) specialising in contemporary bands playing original r&b, beat, '60s garage, trash and punk music.
