Bio:
The Warbuckles are a St. Louis based string band fusing the sounds of Americana, bluegrass, folk, country, and old-time music. They released their first self-titled LP in 2012 (self-produced) and played many shows around the city for several years thereafter. After original bassist Brian Bennett relocated from St. Louis, the band laid dormant until 2015. That year, they re-formed with new members banjoist Tom Souders and bassist Andy Rueter. The current lineup is as follows:
Mitch Hill - Mandolin and Vocals
Pat O'Driscoll - Guitar and Vocals
Phil James - Percussion and Vocals
Tom Souders - Banjo and Vocals
Andy Rueter - Upright Bass and Vocals
Press:
"Of the up-and-comers, folk/bluegrass quartet the Warbuckles shows the most promise. The gospel strains of "These Chains Are Long" comes through in the group harmonies, and the punky fervor of rough guitar strums gives the song some spit and fire." - River Front Times
