** About Tryon **
Following a National TOP 40 debut with their single “Somebody To Love Me,” pop duo TRYON releases piano-driven ballad, "Come Kiss Me," off their upcoming EP. Check out their lyric video HERE.
TRYON is a pop duo from Charlotte, North Carolina consisting of brothers Stephen and Justin Kirk.
Growing up in Charlotte, both Stephen and Justin immersed themselves in many musical endeavors. From Gospel choirs and school bands, to backyard parties and music clubs, the Kirks both learned to sing and master multiple instruments. “We’d play and sing for anyone who would listen,” recalls Justin. “To be honest, that’s something we've never grown out of.”
Having opened for national acts (Carrie Underwood, Safety Suit, Flo Rida, Kevin Rudolf, We The Kings and others), and after gaining a strong live and social media following, TRYON believes their time has come. "It's been a ton of work and an incredible journey getting to this point – but we’re excited for this next chapter…and we're ready for the world to hear our music!”
TRYON has teamed with Grammy award-winning songwriter Gary Baker. Baker is responsible for hits from Backstreet Boys and 98Degrees, along with the classics I SWEAR and I'M ALREADY THERE. The band is currently in the studio with Baker and other calibrators putting the finishing touches on their debut EP, set for release in early 2017.
“Somebody To Love Me”, the band’s debut single entered the National TOP 40 chart in May 2016 and has been heard on over seventy radio stations across the country including SiriusXM Hits-1, Radio Disney, and their hometown stations WNKS/Charlotte and WHQC/Charlotte. In addition to promoting their single this year, playing shows, and working on their EP, Stephen and Justin have made the time to give back to the community partnering with multiple charitable foundations including “The Ryan Seacrest Foundation”, “The Sophia Capo Memorial Foundation”, “Carole’s Concert For A Cure”, and many others.
TRYON’s breakthrough hit “Somebody To Love Me” is approaching one million streams and is currently being played in major retails stores across the country including Apple, Best Buy, Staples, McDonalds, Verizon, and many others. The band was a Top 25 finalist in the 2016 Macy’s iheart Radio Rising Star Challenge, will be performing at Charlotte’s Thanksgiving Day Parade this year, and is preparing to set out on a National Tour this fall.
