St. Louis, MO. Rock, Alternative act Thames has been busy playing shows, rehearsing and making a name for themselves. In fact, they just shared the stage with friends in FreeThinker in support of their new release at Utopia Studios. Thames also dropped a couple new tracks themselves. A song called "Memory" & another entitled "Hummingbird available for streaming HERE.
Thames was founded by lead vocalist/guitarist Gabriel Jackson (18) and drummer Sean Buchert (19) in the fall of 2016. After a month of songwriting and rehearsing guitarist/keyboardist Zander Hayes (18) was added to the lineup. In November of that year the 5 piece lineup was completed with addition of lead guitarist Lia Spanos (16) and bassist Jake Nelson (19).
In January of 2017 original bassist Jake Nelson was forced to transition out due to scheduling conflicts and bassist Connor Fiehler (15) was added to the lineup as his replacement.
Nearly all of the original music and lyrics are written by frontman Gabriel Jackson.
Their influences can be described as the following: Radiohead, Jeff Buckley, Queens of the Stone Age, Wilco, The Clash, Led Zeppelin, Beck, The Smiths and Stevie Ray Vaughan.
