Stereogum announced Bulls and Roosters earlier this summer and premiered a music video for the album's infectious lead single "Better Find Out". Directed by Steele O'Neal, the video can be seen HEREConsequence of Sound premiered the album's second track "Money On It" ahead of the release of the of its quirky, DIY music video, which was directed by FIDLAR bassist, Brandon Schwartzel. Watch it HERE. Earlier this week, Clash Magazine treated fans to an additional early taste of new music with a premiere of track "Kenmore Ave."

Co-produced by Together Pangea and longtime collaborator Andrew Schubert, and mixed by Chris Coady (TV On The Radio, Beach House, The Black Lips), Bulls and Roosters was recorded to two-inch tape at Golden Beat studios in Los Angeles and showcases a more matured sound than prior efforts. "It's important to never make the same album twice... if there's any concerted effort from us, that's it. We wanted to try new things and experiment with making music that wasn't so aggressive or fast," said singer/guitarist William Keegan. "Rather than worrying about any expectations, we were like,'Fuck all that. Let's be as honest as we can possibly be.' Sure it's growth, but there's still a brattiness to it."

Next month, Together Pangea will embark on the Bulls and Roosters Tour in support of the album. The tour's North American Leg will kick off on September 14th in San Diego, CA and wrap on October 22nd in Santa Cruz, CA, and feature support fromTall Juan and Daddy Issues. A complete list of upcoming live dates and ticket information can be found  HERE.

"The rich vibes mixed with scratchy vocals show more of the continued evolution the band has been undergoing through 2014's Badillac and 2015's The Phage EP."  Consequence of Sound

"New album 'Bulls And Roosters' arrives on August 25th, and it gleefully pilfers from pop past to create something uniquely unhinged and hilariously fun." Clash Magazine

About Together Pangea

On their latest full-length album and first for Nettwerk, Bulls and Roosters, Together Pangea managed to hit a sweet spot between writing rock 'n' roll songs worthy of being hummed twenty years from now and maintaining the brash and ballsy bite fans know and love. Since they began jamming back in William's Santa Clarita bedroom, Together Pangea have continually challenged themselves with each subsequent offering. Jelly Jam [2010] poured the gasoline, Living Dummy [2011] struck the match, and Badillac [2014] lit the fire with its revved up nineties rock-inspired flames. Along the way, fan favorites like "Sick Shit," "Badillac," and "Offer" would rack up millions of Spotify streams. "Snakedog" became a plot point in a bonkers episode of NCIS and "Sick Shit" soundtracked a trailer for HBO's Animals, while the group received support from Consequence of SoundPitchforkMTVStereogum, and more. Following the 2015 release of The Phage EP, produced by The Replacements' Tommy Stinson, the boys independently embarked on the journey to what would become Bulls and Roosters. Now it represents their growth as a tried-and-true rock band with just the right amount of "brattiness," as they like to say.

ROCK DUO BLACK PISTOL FIRE RELEASE

NEW ALBUM DEADBEAT GRAFFITI

 LISTEN TO SINGLES

"LOST CAUSE" AND "BULLY"

"These guys are a ferocious rush of rock 'n' roll energy."

- Grimy Goods

"Owen's pulsating rhythm and McKeown's flair for guitarmanship take center stage on "Deadbeat Graffiti," supplying eternally danceable tracks that will get even the largest curmudgeons tapping their feet. And where I find myself bonding with the music first on this occasion, the lyrics are so insanely catchy they become instantaneous earworms allowing every element of the band to shine."

- Wannabe Comic

"A fuzz-drenched caterwaul of a blues-rock duo from Canada beat and punched at each other like virtuosic old friends, driving the energy ever higher."

- Chicago Tribune, Riot Fest 2017

"Sleep on these guys at your own risk, because what they did to BMI on Friday afternoon was unholy...leaving a trail of scorched earth and melted minds."

- Consequence of Sound, Lollapalooza 2015

Black Pistol Fire's new album Deadbeat Graffiti is available now. This is the fifth full-length album from the high-octane rock band.

Black Pistol Fire is a Canadian-bred rock duo, currently based out of Austin, Texas and composed of guitarist/vocalist Kevin McKeown and drummer Eric Owen. Their untamed sound stems inspiration from garage-rock, hip-hop, R&B and classic rock. In recent years, they've earned a reputation for their powerful live performances in the festival circuit from Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, Bonnaroo, Sasquatch, Governor's Ball, and most recently Riot Fest, among others. Their upcoming tour includes a performance at Voodoo Fest in October.

According to the band, "our fifth album is a representation of our listening habits. It has a roller coaster effect, with many different tempos and influences ranging from garage-punk, to hip-hop, soul, and everything else that we may listen to on a given day. It is meant to act like a mixtape or Spotify playlist, where the listener won't know what'll hit them next!"

Recently Black Pistol Fire celebrated their new record with a hometown show at Emo's in Austin, Texas before kicking off their tour on October 10th, in support of Deadbeat Graffiti. They'll start in Missouri and end on December 8th in Nashville, with stops in Toronto, Philadelphia, New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago, among others.
