Gypsy Lion Biography:

Connor Low’s world revolves around music; performing, creating, and sharing his love of music with as many people as possible is his life goal.

Connor Low was born in Saint Louis, Missouri in the spring of 2000. Growing up in a very musical family, Connor was influenced by his talented uncles and cousins. At 9 years old, Connor picked up a guitar and began learning with Marty Schwartz’s guitar tutorials on YouTube. Soon, Connor was performing at talent shows and within just 9 months after picking up the guitar, he played with the popular St. Louis band Trixie Delight at The Festival of The Little Hills 2010 in front of over 10,000 people. This experience was just the beginning .

Connor then began studying classical, jazz , rock , and blues with many respected guitar teachers and players in the area. He has been performing everywhere that he can since age 10 - starting at open jams and open mics, at coffee shops, restaurants and clubs, as well as talent shows, festivals and community events .

Connor quickly captured the attention and respect of the St. Louis Music community. This led to many incredible opportunities for Connor to be invited to perform as the guest guitarist with many St. Louis based bands , along with more opportunities to play at several St. Louis events and festivals. Connor's enthusiasm to learn more and work hard has also caught the attention of some of his greatest musical inspirations. He has had some incredible experiences to meet , play for and even perform with a few of them, including Eric Johnson, Dweezil Zappa, Tommy Emmanuel, Jon Anderson, Stu Hamm, Steve Vai, Andy McKee, Pat Martino, and Guthrie Govan to name a few.

One of Connor's most recent exciting guest performances was with the legendary bass player Marcus Miller at The Jazz Bistro in the summer of 2015. Connor hopes and dreams to meet and perform with many, many more.
In October of 2015 , Connor was invited to join The Brotherhood of the Guitar , which is an exclusive group that features some of best up and coming young guitarist in the world. Connor was extremely humbled and proud to meet with world renowned photographer and head of the program Robert M. Knight in Las Vegas to join the ErnieBall Musicman Guitar endorsed program. This is an extremely exciting honor and a huge blessing that will allow him to connect with other young guitarists and musicians across the world that love music and are as devoted to it as he is , as well as access to unlimited musical opportunities.

Connor has an insatiable appetite to learn and excel in music . From the stages of Lollapalooza in Chicago, or the the Fabulous Fox Theater in St. Louis , when he’s not on a main stage, Connor performs regularly all around the St. Louis area: solo, or with several acoustic duos , bands , music programs and local groups. He has recorded with many artists as a featured guitarist on their albums, and recently started writing his own music, which he plans to release in the near future .

From Jimi Hendrix to Miles Davis , Connor Low finds inspiration and influence in a myriad of musical artists. His musical style is free and limitless, like the musician himself. Rock, Jazz, Blues, Reggae, R & B, Funk, Fusion, Hip Hop, Classical, and Soul are just a sampling of the wide varieties of music that empower this young artist.

In Connor’s own words: “I want to make music that will inspire and touch future generations. I want to create music that will stand the test of time. I aspire to travel the world - performing, learning, and positively impacting people with my love of music.”
