#Osunlade Remixes #TotoChiavetta - Nagnu Jubo ( @YorubaRecords Soul Remixes)

Yoruba Records is proud to welcome back Toto Chiavetta with their latest release, Nagnu Jubo (Remixes). This follow up to the debut album, Impermanence, includes remixes by Osunlade as well as new and unreleased work from Toto himself. Kicking off the A-side is the Yoruba Soul remix of Nagnu Jubo – a deep and smooth groove rich in personality. The warm chords reel you in as the underlying rhythm engages and inspires. The A-side closes with the instrumental – retaining the warmth of the original without the track’s signature chant. On the flip side is a new, unreleased version of Minds. Originally appearing on Impermanence, this version is decidedly more floor focused. A 303-style bassline keeps this moving right along as percussive elements add texture and drive to this forward thinking dance tune. Finally, closing out this release is Hunters, a track which showcases Toto’s dark and techy side. This expressive tune is ripe with emotion and will have discerning listeners locked in introspection while their feet do work on the floors below them.

Acclaimed singer/songwriter
Brett Dennen has released the new single "Already Gone", from the forthcoming EP Let's..., available now on Downtown Records. The EP was produced by celebrated musician, songwriter and producer Dan Wilson, best known for his work with Adele, the Dixie Chicks and Semisonic.

"Already Gone" is a celebratory anthem and Dennen's first spark to his 'Let's...' theme for taking action in 2018. Dennen shared that he hopes to create an inclusive and positive space with his new music, bringing people together for the greater good -- creating "somewhat of a party" environment where "people can work together for common goals."

"This song is about making a decision instead of sitting around and thinking about what to do," shares Dennen. "It's so much fun to sing. I've played it at a few shows already and will continue to. It puts me in a great mood. I imagine myself gliding down a mountain or running down an empty highway somewhere. Both have the feeling of release."

The upcoming Let's... tour began on February 22nd, kicking off in Houston, with stops in Nashville, Atlanta, Baltimore, Chicago, Seattle, and San Francisco, among others, before ending in April with eight performances in Europe. Dennen is currently on his second annual Lift Series tour, performing acoustic sets in mountain towns, where he combines music, skiing, community and environmental activism to build a movement against climate change. Today Winnepeg band Living Hour releases a new covers EP, Lovely, Lonely: A Collection Of Covers For Hollow Hearts. The EP includes covers of Nico, Avi Buffalo, The Ink Spots and Françoise Hardy (you can watch the video for this song now via YouTube). The band will also be touring to SXSW and playing an official showcase, co-presented by Danger Village on March 13 at Javelina Bar on Rainey St.

Bio:
Sink into the drowsy guitars and blissful, washed-out textures of Winnipeg’s Living Hour. The band made up of dream-pop revivalists’ atmospheric and pillowy melodies are coloured by psychedelic accents and the enthralling coos of vocalist Sam Sarty. Brushed-Snare Beats, droning reverberations, and wobbly romanticism conjure up a tranquil and exploratory state of mind.
