Body Is Working was released last December on Kingfisher Bluez in the USA/Canada and Barely Regal in the UK/EU. Living Body is a new project from Chicagoan ex-pat and multi-instrumentalist Jeff T. Smith (formerly Juffage), featuring longtime collaborators Katie Harkin (Harkin, Sky Larkin, and touring member of Sleater-Kinney, Flock of Dimes, and Wild Beasts), and Tom Evans (Vessels). The current North American tour dates feature a live lineup of Smith, Guy Justusson, and other performers are listed below. Brooklyn Vegan praised "Body Is Working" for “anthemic” songs like the lead single “Choose".

The result of three years of near-fanatical work, Body Is Working was self-recorded at Smith’s studio in Leeds and mastered at Sterling Sound by Greg Calbi (Talking Heads, Patti Smith, Tom Petty, St. Vincent, Low, Tame Impala). The album marks Smith’s first release since 2011’s Semicircle (Function Records), an album which received critical acclaim from The Guardian, NME, Drowned in Sound, Loud & Quiet, and airplay from BBC Radio 1 and 6 Music, among others.

Living Body came to fruition after Smith, Harkin, and Evans took part in a one-off performance event aptly titled “Sonic Cauldron”, a live event in a deconsecrated church in the heart of residential Leeds. Audience members would be positioned within the immersive sensory confines of a large, purpose-built circular PA system, which Smith had designed to distribute the sound of the musicians playing ambisonically around the venue. A month before the performance, the group moved into the church, honing their interwoven sounds and converting the venue into a musical instrument in its own right. To add to the tension, all of the songs were new, played live for the first time. The recorded versions grew out of these original skeletal forms to become this album, Body Is Working.

“Whether you want to drive around with the windows down and the music cranked on a sunny day, waxing nostalgic about the music of your youth, or sonically enhance a cozy, contemplative evening in with your fuzziest blanket, Hearts and Stars has got you covered.” Suzie Gilb, Eleven Magazine

Impose Magazine premieres the David Lynch inspired video for "Tea Colored Radio", the first single from The Head's forthcoming LP Space, out August 4th. Impose called the video "dark aesthetically but playful in terms of the band’s sound" and added "The Head make feel good indie rock that will have you bopping your head and dancing."

Says drummer Jack Shaw, "Nick Rhodes of Coalesce Films (Atlanta, GA) directed this video for us. We filmed it in our rehearsal space just outside of Atlanta, GA. The song itself feels very industrial and dark, so we wanted to convey that through use of shadows and lighting. We're also David Lynch fans, so Nick really helped us capture that vibe."

Dubbing the band their #1 unsigned artist of 2015, Purevolume premiered the track, calling it a "mission statement that shows that The Head is really on the brink of something big" and Alternative Press listed the song in their "10 new songs we bet you didn't cath this week" feature.

Every artist faces a "Road to Damascus moment" in their career, a time when they have to answer the question: “Who am I? Why am I here?” Atlanta based brothers Mike Shaw (bass, vocals) and Jack Shaw (drums) plus Jacob Morrell (guitars) definitively answer that question with Space, a 13-song collection that defines their sound and defies lo-fi conventions.

Space follows their 2015 EP Millipedes which received positive coverage in Creative Loafing, GhettoBlaster, Performer Magazine and more. The band is currently on an extensive US tour, including SXSW.
